PC World had an interesting article about what the next generation of cell phones will look like. They will offer far more features that the current cool mobile handsets du jour that only have a built-in camera.
They are sophisticated devices, having higher-res 1 megapixel cameras, video recorders, MP3 players, and supporting multiple protocols. Vendors such as Kyocera, LGE, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung and Sony/Ericsson have been pushing the innovation envelope. Some of these newer models have been showcased earlier this year at the CeBIT show in Europe.
