Here is a story from Drudge Report about a Florida baby who got the world's smallest pacemaker, of the size of a quarter:

Fla. Baby Gets World Smallest Pacemaker

What's amazing is that this was done a few minutes after Kerrick Walker was born. If everything goes well, the boy will always need the pacemaker, but he can live an active life, just changing the battery from time to time.
